About our Firm
At Lindsey Herod Interiors, we create houses that are more than just homes but unique expressions of the personalities of those who live there.
We work hand-in-hand with our clients and consider them as our most important partners throughout the design process. From city dwellings and country estates to beach and mountain retreats, we understand and appreciate a variety of architectural vernaculars and have experience with projects that vary in size and scope from new construction, renovation, and full-service interior design.
Since our inception in 2015, our work has caught the eyes of editors at national publications including Southern Living, Flower, Frederic, Food Network, and The Cottage Journal magazines as well as local media outlets such as Modern Luxury Interiors Texas and The Houston Chronicle. We are also honored to be listed among the “Aggie 100” that recognizes the 100 fastest-growing Aggie-owned businesses in the world.
Owner, Principal Designer
Lindsey Herod
Lindsey’s deep Texas roots and sophisticated New York training give her an edge in the industry. She values warmth and tradition as evident in her use of antique and heirloom pieces but finds balance in the melodic mix of contemporary art, furnishings, and finishes. While her personal aesthetic leans toward the fashionable and colorful, she loves the creative challenge of working in different styles. In fact, some of her favorite projects are those that allow her to flex her design muscles and compose innovative interiors that reflect her client’s taste rather than her own.
Prior to opening her eponymous firm, Lindsey worked as a senior designer for renowned New York-based decorator, Celerie Kemble of Kemble Interiors. During her seven years there, she decorated some of the finest homes across New York, Florida, Connecticut, and Texas many of which garnered national attention in publications like Elle Décor, Coastal Living, Lonny and House Beautiful.
Lindsey earned her Master of Science in Interior Design from Pratt Institute in New York and her undergraduate degree Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M’s School of Architecture. She and her husband Clint are the proud parents of Claire and fraternal twins, Billy and Lucy. In her spare time, you can find her gardening, antiquing, or styling and restyling her home. Come the weekends, you can catch her on the court coaching youth basketball, donning cowboy boots and vintage turquoise at Rodeo Houston, or hosting Aggie gameday tailgates for family and friends.
